I'm Ross Gilmour, and I specialise in helping Personal Trainers & Online Coaches build an elite-level physique while achieving industry-leading transformations with their clients.

In 2011, I was stuck in a job I didn’t enjoy—cold calling as a recruitment consultant. Every minute dragged by until lunch, and I dreaded the monotony. On a particularly memorable afternoon, I stumbled upon an ad for a Personal Trainer certification from “The Training Room.” The ad's flashy promises didn’t interest me, but it sparked a realisation: I had never considered alternatives to my current path.

I was using the recruitment job as a temporary solution while searching for an accounting role, but this ad opened my eyes to other possibilities. It got me thinking about what I truly wanted: a career aligned with my values, something fulfilling and enjoyable that made me excited to get out of bed each day. Although passionate about fitness, I questioned whether I could excel at coaching others.

Despite the uncertainties, I decided to explore this new path. Within three months, I completed a six-week course and began working on the gym floor. The first 15 months were tough, but they were also transformative. During this period, I met incredible people, including my future wife, Malin.

Over the past 12+ years in Dubai, I’ve immersed myself in various fitness disciplines, including Rugby, CrossFit, and Bodybuilding. I’ve also had the honor of presenting at major fitness events like the MEFIT Summit and Dubai Active Show, sharing insights on body composition, female physiology, and exercise mechanics.

Today, through Team Precision, my mission is to help coaches build impactful and fulfilling careers. I’m dedicated to helping them exceed their own expectations and achieve remarkable results for their clients. I look forward to welcoming you to our community of passionate, results-driven coaches.

What Is Your Coaching Philosophy And Methodology?

My approach is evidence-informed, experience-based, and client-centred.

This is coaching for coaches, with education at the heart of the process. My clients want to understand the how & why, not just what to do.

I place significant emphasis on a health-first approach to physique development. After all, a healthy physiology is aresponsive physiology.

What Are Your Qualifications And Experience?

I'm approaching my 14th year as a personal trainer and 7th as an online coach.

I've been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to speak at the leading fitness expos and summits in the UAE, including The MEFITPRO Summit and Dubai Active & Muscle Shows.

I'm an MNU Certified Nutritionist With Distinction, as well as the UAE Instructor for RTS Global, with RTS the leading and original exercise mechanics educators within the industry.

“Will The Results I Achieve Be Sustainable?”

The word “sustainable” is largely misused within the industry as a buzzword to make sales. In the long-term, yes, we want to help you get to a maintenance physique & lifestyle where you can thrive. In order to get there, the reality is you will need to move away from the baseline you hold at any given time.

For fat loss goals, this will mean expending more energy and consuming less calories than would be considered a maintainable amount. For muscle gain, you will need to go to greater lengths to minimise stress, push training harder than usual and consume more than is required at maintenance whilst accepting a small increase in body fat.

By it’s very definition, any deviation away from maintenance is not meant to be sustainable. Phases away from maintenance are simply in place to achieve a desired outcome, then maintain the best possible results whilst safely returning to maintenance.

“What Happens Once I’ve Reached My Goals?”

Education is at the core of our approach. As a result, we make sure that you have the tools required to not only maintain your results, but to continue building on your physique progress if you wish to. We do map out your journey with the long term in mind, so once you’ve achieved one milestone, we can work together to plan and execute the next goal also.

It’s not unusual for our clients to work with us for 1 year, 2 years or longer, moving through various cycles of coaching. This doesn’t mean we coast or waste your time, we are all about achieving results in an efficient timeframe. With that said, significant physique progress takes time, so for as long as you want guidance in taking your results to the next level, we’ll be here for you.

“Will I Still Be Able To Eat Out?”

Absolutely! Your coach will work with you to factor this into your plan with various strategies. We also have resources to help guide you on best practices which are immediately actionable and easy to implement.

“Do I Get Support If My Progress Stalls?”

In an ideal world, we’ll be able to avoid progress stalling by being proactive with assessing when to make timely adjustments. In the event where progress stalls, this will be assessed and adjustments made at your weekly check-in. We also have an optional coaching catch-up call each month as sometimes the best way to solve problems and come up with solutions is to speak with your coach face to face in real time.

“What If I Don’t Like Eating Certain Foods, Do You Help Provide Alternatives?”

There are no must have foods and equally no foods you must cut out or avoid. Your coach will always work with you to provide alternatives and options for food items and meals.

“If It’s Not Practical To Take Tupperware Into Work, Can I Still Make This Work?”

Practical wins out over optimal when optimal cannot be achieved. The nutrition is based around Calorie & Macro targets, so we’ll help you put in place practical options, including easy to transport snacks and guidelines for eating out while staying on track.

We utilise the industry leading payment gateway STRIPE providing secure and encrypted payments. We will send a payment link for your first payment. Then, once we have your card details on the system, we will update the system to collect payments on the same day each month if you’ve opted for a monthly instalment plan.

I'm approaching my 14th year as a personal trainer and 7th as an online coach.

I've been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to speak at the leading fitness expos and summits in the UAE, including The MEFITPRO Summit and Dubai Active & Muscle Shows.

I'm an MNU Certified Nutritionist With Distinction, as well as the UAE Instructor for RTS Global, with RTS the leading and original exercise mechanics educators within the industry.

“Will The Results I Achieve Be Sustainable?”

The word “sustainable” is largely misused within the industry as a buzzword to make sales. In the long-term, yes, we want to help you get to a maintenance physique & lifestyle where you can thrive. In order to get there, the reality is you will need to move away from the baseline you hold at any given time.

For fat loss goals, this will mean expending more energy and consuming less calories than would be considered a maintainable amount. For muscle gain, you will need to go to greater lengths to minimise stress, push training harder than usual and consume more than is required at maintenance whilst accepting a small increase in body fat.

By it’s very definition, any deviation away from maintenance is not meant to be sustainable. Phases away from maintenance are simply in place to achieve a desired outcome, then maintain the best possible results whilst safely returning to maintenance.

Education is at the core of our approach. As a result, we make sure that you have the tools required to not only maintain your results, but to continue building on your physique progress if you wish to. We do map out your journey with the long term in mind, so once you’ve achieved one milestone, we can work together to plan and execute the next goal also.

It’s not unusual for our clients to work with us for 1 year, 2 years or longer, moving through various cycles of coaching. This doesn’t mean we coast or waste your time, we are all about achieving results in an efficient timeframe. Absolutely! Your coach will work with you to factor this into your plan with various strategies. We also have resources to help guide you on best practices which are immediately actionable and easy to implement.

“Do I Get Support If My Progress Stalls?”

In an ideal world, we’ll be able to avoid progress stalling by being proactive with assessing when to make timely adjustments. In the event where progress stalls, this will be assessed and adjustments made at your weekly check-in. We also have an optional coaching catch-up call each month as sometimes the best way to solve problems and come up with solutions is to speak with your coach face to face in real time.

“What If I Don’t Like Eating Certain Foods, Do You Help Provide Alternatives?”

There are no must have foods and equally no foods you must cut out or avoid. Your coach will always work with you to provide alternatives and options for food items and meals.

“If It’s Not Practical To Take Tupperware Into Work, Can I Still Make This Work?”

Practical wins out over optimal when optimal cannot be achieved. The nutrition is based around Calorie & Macro targets, so we’ll help you put in place practical options, including easy to transport snacks and guidelines for eating out while staying on track.
